About Cynthia Erich, MS

Cynthia Erich, MS, served the U.S. Department of Justice as a senior policy advisor for 21 years, focusing on child protection, juvenile justice, and human trafficking victim services. Her work included leading national-level grant programs, developing multidisciplinary training curricula, and managing large-scale technical assistance initiatives.

Across her DOJ career, she supported major national offices including the Office for Victims of Crime, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and the Office on Community Oriented Policing Services. She brings national policy expertise and hands-on public safety experience that helps organizations align practice, training, and technical assistance with real-world needs.

With her strong, standards-based, systems-level perspective in youth safety and response, she helps organizations move from policy to practical, consistent implementation.

Ms. Erich earned her Master’s of Forensic Sciences from George Washington University, where she also served as a University Police Officer. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Administration of Justice from Pennsylvania State University.
